There have been more and more Chinese tourists coming to the shop interested in learning to surf. They are doing a great job and learning to surf very quickly, as surfing becomes more popular in China we hope to help more people enjoy this amazing sport.
Today we had an international group of students come to Sanya Surf. Miken and Nanna from Denmark and Rita from Guizhou, China took a lesson from our Italian instrutors Paolo and Lillo. Everyone had a good time learning on the beach before they all got into the water to catch their first waves.

Brendan Sheridan comes from the Bay Area, California (USA) - and first moved his fledgeling surf school operation to Sanya in 2006, where he quickly established "Surfing Hainan" as the benchmark for surf schools in China, eventually teaching thousands of Chinese and International visitors to ride their first waves. His regular contests, the "Surfing Hainan Open" and the "SUP/Beach Run Biathalon" have bolstered the surf community in China and served as an example for more mainstream surf events sponsored by the ASP and ISP - all of whom turn to Brendan for consulation when they bring their events to China.
